A spell which allows the magic-user to detect the presence of surface thoughts (if any) or intense emotions of whatever lurks behind doors or in the darkness. The referee should provide vague clues like “there is a strong aura of despair” or “you felt fleeting thought, very faint, in the next room, and then nothingness.” It can penetrate solid rock of about 2’ in thickness, but even a thin coating of lead will block the effect. ESP does not function unless the esper is wearing or holding copper (this material component is not expended on use).
