The sounds of speaking and moving are muted, and even loud activities like breaking down doors might be hidden from opponents. Damping can also protect from dangerous environmental vibration or increase the precision of cuts. The material component is a cork spring or rubber held in the water or against the object to be dampened, which isn’t consumed by the casting.
